GENERAL SUMMARY

Retail Clerks are responsible for providing customers with fast and friendly service at the sales counter. Other responsibilities include monitoring inventory and stocking of shelves, operating the cash registers, and maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store, grounds, and restrooms. Retail clerks may be asked to perform opening and closing duties, prepare and serve food items and perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prefer to have 2-3 years' experience working in the convenience store or retail industry
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain a customer focused culture
• Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without constant direction
• Ability to run accurate retail sales and cash register transactions
• Ability to operate calculator, computer, telephone, and other equipment as needed
• Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist and 25 pounds to chest or above
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members, customers, vendors, and Management representatives
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays
