South Bay Paints is looking to hire an experienced Paint Sales Associate to join our team at our Cupertino store location! We're looking for candidates with previous paint store experience.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 6 months experience working in a retail paint store environment. This experience should include (but not limited to): tinting paint, helping customers with paint/stain color and product selections, assisting with store cleanliness and assisting with checking in freight. We have flexible scheduling, but are looking to hire a Full Time employee. The typical shift would be 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday

• Saturday, with one day off during the week and Sunday's off as well.

General Daily Responsibilities:

Helping customers choose paint colors, recommending the right paint product system for their project, tinting paint and stain, helping the team organize the store and maintain general store organization/cleanliness. Assisting with freight work as it comes in.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Customer service experience is required. A good demeanor and friendly personality is a must. We are looking for outgoing candidates who are comfortable socializing with customers and co-workers alike.
• We're looking for someone who is self-directed, that also works well within a team.
• Must have experience tinting paint on an automated tint machine.
• Some color matching experience is ideal, but not required. We match colors by eye
• this can be taught over time and is a great skill.
• General knowledge of paint systems and processes is a requirement.

Compensation:

• Pay is negotiable.

The range begins at $19.50/hour and tops out at about $23/hour. The possibility for a higher pay range will be based only on previous paint/related experience. The greater amount of experience and higher skill levels will result in a higher starting wage. Please apply with your resume. Thank You!
