@joshuatreerockshop & @palmspringsrockshop The Opportunity We are looking for a passionate, organized, dependable, and personable Retail Sales & Operations Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on, multi-location position that combines retail sales and customer service with warehouse, inventory, merchandising, and general property-upkeep responsibilities. Team members must be comfortable working at both our Palm Springs and Joshua Tree retail locations , as well as traveling to our warehouse as needed. The ideal candidate is confident in sales, genuinely enthusiastic about crystals and natural stones, comfortable with physical work, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support the day-to-day operations of our shops and warehouse. This is a customer-focused sales position with commission-based earning potential, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable engaging with customers, making recommendations, and actively contributing to sales goals. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service Welcome and engage customers with enthusiasm and genuine interest. Provide knowledgeable, personalized recommendations based on customers' interests and needs. Develop strong customer relationships and create a memorable shopping experience. Work toward and exceed sales goals through commission-based selling. Learn and confidently communicate product information, including crystals, minerals, stones, and metaphysical products. Social Media & Live Sales Help create engaging content for Instagram and TikTok . Be comfortable appearing on camera and representing the shop in a friendly, authentic, and professional way. Participate in live sales and livestream shopping events . Help showcase crystals, stones, and other products through social-media content and live presentations. Stay current with social-media trends and contribute creative ideas for engaging our online community. Warehouse & Operations Travel to and assist at our warehouse as needed . Help load and unload merchandise, inventory, boxes, and supplies . Safely move, carry, and transport merchandise between designated areas and locations. Assist with organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory . Keep warehouse merchandise and work areas clean, organized, and accessible. Assist with receiving, sorting, and preparing merchandise for our retail locations. Help maintain and clean our gem mine area . Perform other hands-on operational duties as needed to support the shops and warehouse. Store & Property Maintenance Maintain clean, organized, and inviting retail spaces. Keep displays neat, stocked, and visually appealing. Perform regular cleaning and general store-maintenance duties. Assist with the cleaning and upkeep of the outdoor areas at our Joshua Tree location . Help keep customer-facing, work, storage, and outdoor areas clean and presentable. Be willing to assist with general upkeep tasks as needed. Inventory & Merchandising Restock shelves and displays as needed. Assist with receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory. Help create attractive displays that showcase products and encourage sales. Maintain attention to detail when handling, moving, and organizing merchandise. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is strongly preferred, especially in a boutique, specialty, or independently owned retail environment. Working knowledge of crystals, minerals, and stones is preferred. A willingness and enthusiasm to learn more about crystals, stones, minerals, and their unique characteristics is a major plus. Genuine interest in crystals, rocks, minerals, and/or metaphysical products. Strong sales and customer-service skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using Instagram and TikTok and familiar with social-media content creation. Comfortable appearing on camera and participating in live sales/livestreams . Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. Comfortable working independently while also being a positive team member. Self-motivated and able to take initiative. Comfortable performing both customer-facing retail duties and hands-on physical/operational work . Professional, friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic attitude. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between our Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, and warehouse locations as scheduled. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position.

Applicants must be able to:

Regularly lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Regularly bend, reach, squat, lift, carry, and stock merchandise. Safely load, unload, move, and organize boxes, merchandise, and inventory. Perform cleaning, stocking, warehouse organization, and general property-upkeep duties. Work both indoors and outdoors when completing assigned duties at our retail and warehouse locations.
