We work directly with many of the biggest brands and companies in the hobby, including Topps, Fanatics, Panini, Upper Deck, Pokemon, PSA, and other major partners . The Role This is a hands-on, customer-facing position inside our Lodi card shop. The role will include a mix of customer service, sales, retail floor operations, stocking, inventory, shipping, fulfillment, and general shop support . The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, knowledgeable about cards and collectibles, and willing to jump in wherever needed to help the shop run efficiently. You should be comfortable helping everyone from experienced collectors to parents and kids who are brand new to the hobby. Strong knowledge of sports cards, Pokémon, and TCG products is highly preferred. Experience buying cards, evaluating collections, or researching comparable sales is a major plus. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service Help customers find sports cards, Pokémon, TCG, sealed products, singles, supplies, and other collectibles Answer questions about products, sets, players, cards, releases, and the hobby Build relationships with regular customers and help create a welcoming shop environment Operate the register and process customer transactions Maintain the retail floor, showcases, shelves, displays, and product presentation Stock and restock products throughout the shop Receive incoming product and help organize new inventory Assist with inventory counts, organization, transfers, and product tracking Help maintain accurate inventory across the shop Pick, pack, and prepare online and customer orders for shipment Assist with shipping and fulfillment during busy periods Organize sealed product, singles, supplies, and back-stock inventory Assist with pricing and organizing singles and collectibles Help evaluate cards and collections customers bring into the shop Research recent comparable sales and market pricing when needed Assist with buying, trade-ins, and collection intake depending on experience Help with shop events, trade nights, releases, and other community activities Keep the sales floor, stock areas, and work areas clean and organized Work closely with the rest of the team to keep the shop running smoothly and efficiently What We're Looking For Strong customer service and communication skills Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with customers Genuine knowledge and interest in sports cards, Pokémon, TCG, or collectibles Willingness to help across retail, inventory, stocking, shipping, and fulfillment Ability to learn products and pricing quickly Reliable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment Strong attention to detail when handling cards, inventory, orders, and transactions Able to stay organized while handling multiple responsibilities Comfortable being on your feet and helping move or stock product during the day Available to work some evenings and weekends as needed Strong Plus Experience with any of the following is especially valuable: Buying sports cards, Pokémon cards, or collections Comping cards using recent eBay sales or other hobby pricing tools Evaluating card condition Understanding grading companies such as PSA, BGS, and SGC Sports card singles and current players/products Pokémon singles and sealed products Other TCGs such as One Piece Shipping and fulfillment Inventory management Stocking and receiving product Shopify or retail POS systems Previous card shop, hobby shop, collectibles, warehouse, or retail experience Who Will Do Well Here You'll be a strong fit if you enjoy talking about cards but understand that the customer comes first . We want someone who can make an experienced collector feel confident buying a high-end card while also taking the time to help a parent or kid understand which Pokémon product they should buy. We also want someone who is willing to do the work behind the scenes — stocking shelves, organizing inventory, packing orders, receiving product, cleaning up the floor, or helping the team wherever needed. Hobby knowledge matters, but attitude, customer service, reliability, work ethic, and being a good teammate matter just as much. As the company grows, we want our people to grow with it.
