WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR

The Lead Caker is responsible for quality food production, budget management, controlling food and labor costs to meet budget, managing and maintaining café and catering menus and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will help to achieve our mission to bring expertly crafted baked goods to our guests through a warm and welcoming bakery café experience that delivers joy to everyone.

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare a variety of sandwiches and salads. Being a team player assist and support in all areas of restaurant when needed Makes dressings and sauces for sandwiches and pastries. Ensures sandwich display is presentable for internal and external customers Completes various reports for records such as; production, usage and waste Order product and materials, as necessary Maintains daily par levels and restocks station orders set up orders Demonstrates knowledge of the brand and menu items Informs supervisor when equipment is not working properly and when food supplies are getting low. Bi-monthly and monthly inventory assessment. Clean and sanitizes refrigerator, freezer and storage; work areas (counters/floors), equipment, containers, utensils and dishes. Receive stock and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

Basic knowledge of food preparation and knife handling Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. High emotional intelligence with the ability to work with diverse teams by being highly empathetic, intuitive, self-motivated and driven. Teams Win! Has to be a team player who fosters a collaborative and engaged environment.
