The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, Notarizing Documents, Livescan Fingerprintng, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who tries to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Notary Public and Livescan operator (we will provide training and education) Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and binding Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents Takes ownership of customers' packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions Follows and understands quality guidelines Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment Performs other duties as required Monitors, evaluates, and maximizes customer service delivery and customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS

Notary Public (we will provide training but must qualify) Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Prompt, reliable, and responsible Able to lift 50+ pounds Neat, clean, and professional appearance Willing to accept full accountability for Center operations Able to cross sell and up sell products and services Able to follow and understand quality guidelines Able to work and complete tasks independently in a quick turn environment Strong customer service skills and abilities Highly organized and detail oriented Must be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeed Willing and able to work 30 to 40 hours per week for a 6-day work week
