Job Overview Join our growing, family-owned natural body care business as a Retail Sales Associate! We are looking for someone friendly, dependable, outgoing, and motivated to help us create a welcoming shopping experience while growing our store. Our company specializes in body care products made with natural ingredients. Our products are vegan, cruelty-free, soy-free, non-GMO, and made without harsh chemicals. Because we are a growing business, sales are an important part of this position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable approaching customers, explaining products, providing samples, recommending items, and helping turn customer interest into sales. This position involves much more than simply working a cash register. You will help manage the everyday flow of the store, maintain merchandise and inventory, interact with customers, and contribute ideas that can help the business grow. Duties & Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Approach and engage customers rather than waiting for customers to ask for assistance. Learn about our body care products, ingredients, benefits, and recommended uses so you can confidently explain them to customers. Recommend products based on customers' needs and preferences. Demonstrate products and distribute samples to encourage customer engagement and sales. Work toward store sales goals and actively help increase sales. Operate the POS system, cash register, and card transactions accurately. Handle cash responsibly and maintain an organized checkout area. Restock shelves and make sure products are properly displayed throughout the day. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store. Monitor inventory and communicate when products or supplies are running low. Help create attractive product displays, gift sets, promotions, and seasonal setups. Assist with opening and closing responsibilities when assigned. Answer customer questions in person and provide excellent customer service. Help resolve basic customer concerns professionally and respectfully. Contribute creative ideas for promotions, displays, events, and ways to attract new customers. Assist with social media content, photos, videos, or promotional ideas when needed. Take initiative and complete necessary store tasks without needing constant supervision. Qualifications Previous sales experience is strongly preferred, especially in a retail environment. Previous customer service experience is preferred. Experience operating a cash register or POS system is helpful. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable approaching customers, starting conversations, demonstrating products, and recommending purchases. Dependable, responsible, punctual, and able to work independently. Organized and able to maintain a clean retail environment. Positive and enthusiastic personality with the ability to make customers feel welcome. Willingness to learn about our products, ingredients, and their uses. Basic knowledge or interest in skincare, body care, beauty, wellness, or natural ingredients is a plus. Social media, content creation, photography, or marketing experience is a plus. Creative mindset and willingness to contribute new ideas. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform regular retail tasks such as stocking, organizing, cleaning, and moving merchandise.
