Position Summary:

As a Retail Assistant you provide administrative support to the Director of Retail. Using administrative and computer skills, clear professional customer service, provide assistance to members and guests. On-the-job training is typical in this position, but a formal education in merchandising and retail is a plus.

Essential Functions:

Providing administrative support to the Director of Retail Maintain and update spreadsheets, purchase orders and sales reports Monitor purchase orders to ensure prompt and timely delivery Other duties can include coordinating promotional plans, following up with customer service claims and processing special orders for members and guests Processing invoices with new retail merchandise, tagging all new merchandise, assisting retail outlets with with merchandising Computer skills in spreadsheet and word-processing software are necessary Strong personal and customer service skills to converse easily with associates, guests, and members Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills, as well as knowledge of basic math principles, and strong attention to detail and accuracy skills are critical

This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma. Some experience with retail Point of Sale, inventory software, and retail experience though not required, would be beneficial.
