Thrift Store Reports to: Thrift Store Manager Position type: Part time or Full time Pay range: $16-$19
Position Summary:
The purpose of the La Plata County Thrift Store is to help provide financial support to the animal shelter by processing and selling donated goods. The primary duties of a Retail Associate is to assist customers with purchases, maintain store appearance/cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
: Operate the register and maintain the cash drawer according to all cash handling procedures. Assist customers with any needs they may have. : Greet customers and assist shoppers and donors as needed. Use a customer service approach when responding to customer questions, comments, or complaints. Maintain a cheerful, welcoming, and supportive attitude toward all customers, staff, volunteers, and donors. Represent LPCHS in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Share the mission of LPCHS with customers or the general public in an informed and enthusiastic manner. : Ability to work with a variety of people in a busy work environment. Work collaboratively with staff in the Thrift Store and Shelter and demonstrate flexibility in assisting other departments when necessary. Remain in compliance with LPCHS dress code and hygiene standards. : Clean and organize the store and displays as needed. Maintain the cleanliness of the store bathroom. Vacuum and dust daily and participate in closing tasks. Receive direction and independently execute tasks with minimum supervision. Report for work at scheduled time, ready to perform work functions, and remain on task while completing the entire scheduled shift. Follow all safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be able to sustain hours of standing, walking, lifting, and bending Ability to use a cash register or to learn how to do so Comfortable working with cats and dogs
Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
