Haus of CuCu is looking for an outgoing, motivated, and dependable person to join our Steamboat Springs team. If you enjoy talking to people, learning new skills, staying busy, and taking ownership of your work, you may be a great fit. If you're looking for a position where you can primarily stand behind a register and wait for the next task, this probably isn't the right role for you. This is a hands-on and highly independent position. Our team members are trusted to manage their responsibilities, connect with customers, make sales, keep the store looking great, and recognize what needs to be done without waiting to be told. What You'll Be Doing Greet and genuinely engage with customers Help customers find clothing, jewelry, accessories, gifts, and other products Learn our merchandise and confidently make recommendations Create a fun and memorable shopping experience Drive sales through conversation, recommendations, and upselling Operate the POS system and handle transactions accurately Restock merchandise and monitor inventory Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing Learn custom hat designing and assist customers with creating personalized hats Assist with store projects, merchandising, events, and other tasks as needed Serve customers from our in-store bar once TIPS certified Take initiative during slower periods rather than waiting to be assigned a task Who We're Looking For Retail experience is not required - personality, work ethic, and willingness to learn are much more important to us. You do need to be someone who: Is friendly, confident, and comfortable starting conversations with customers Actually enjoys working with people Is dependable and takes their job seriously Can work independently without constant supervision Notices what needs to be done and takes initiative Is willing and excited to learn new skills Is comfortable selling and recommending products Can stay productive when the store isn't busy Is flexible and willing to jump into different projects when needed Takes pride in the store and customer experience Previous retail, hospitality, clothing, jewelry, or sales experience is a plus, but not required. Sewing skills are also appreciated but not necessary. Requirements Must be 18 years or older Must be willing to become TIPS certified to serve from our bar Comfortable handling cash and processing transactions Able to perform basic math Dependable and able to work scheduled shifts independently Before You Apply We're a small team, which means every person makes a noticeable difference.
