Store Manager Job Summary We are looking for an energetic, knowledgeable and customer-focused Ski & Snowboard Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys skiing and/or snowboarding and is comfortable helping customers select the right equipment, clothing, footwear and accessories for their individual needs. This is a hands-on retail position where you will work directly with customers to provide exception service while helping them find products that fit their lifestyle, ability and budget.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Assist customer with the selection of skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, helmets, goggles, outerwear and accessories. Ask questions to understand the customer's experience level, individual needs and budget. Explain product features, differences and benefits in an easy-to-understand way. Help customers find the right size and fit. Build store sales by recommending appropriate products and accessories. Stay current on ski & snowboard brands, products, technology and trends. Maintain an organized, clean, and attractive sales floor. Stock merchandise and assist with receiving shipments. Help with pricing, display, inventory and merchandising. Process sales and operate the point-of-sale (system accurately. Assist with online orders and customer inquires as needed. Work as part of a team to achieve store sales and customer-service goals. Provide a positive experience that encourages every customer to return.

Qualifications:

Retail sales experience preferred. Skiing and/or snowboarding experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment and apparel is a plus. Experience selling clothing, footwear or sporting goods is helpful. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Comfortable talking with customers and making product recommendations. Reliable, energetic and willing to learn. Ability to work weekends and during the busy winter season. Ability to stand for extended periods and move merchandise as needed.

We want someone who likes people, likes to sell and knows or wants to learn the ski and snowboard business. The right person should be comfortable talking with everyone from a first-time skier to an experienced customer looking for specific equipment.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly pay based on experience, with opportunities for increased responsiblity and advancement.
