JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of a Full-time Sales Associate is to provide outstanding customer service to all clients advising them on jewelry, watch, and gift selections. In addition, responsibilities include assisting with inventory control, store maintenance, and becoming proficient on all store systems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES
Client Relationships:
Cultivate customer relationships with new and existing clients by providing exceptional customer service. Regularly outreach to potential customers through networking, community events, etc. to increase traffic into the store. Maintain a client book and contact customers on a regular basis using e-mail, texts, event invitations, etc.
Sales and Service:
Handle all aspects of selling fine jewelry & watches in a professional, enthusiastic, and highly productive manner. Embrace and apply Lux Bond & Green's Core Values of Customer Service, Teamwork, Communication, Confidentiality, Respect, and Integrity in every interaction. Complete all sales, service, and related responsibilities with accurate documentation including gift-wrapping, shipping, special orders, thank you notes, etc. in a timely and professional manner.
Store Maintenance:
Keep merchandise displays fresh, exciting, properly stocked, and presented in an organized and attractive fashion. Taking pride in store appearance and ensure a welcoming and pristine environment. Be a team player by assisting with daily cleaning of giftware and jewelry areas (e.g., no fingerprints on cases or merchandise), vacuuming, and overall housekeeping of the store (trash removal, dusting, etc.) as well as assisting with the upkeep and cleaning of bathrooms and lunchroom.
Security and Inventory Maintenance:
Ensure all security procedures are followed daily such as maintaining proper coverage on the sales floor, showing one piece of merchandise at a time, locking all cases and being constantly aware of activity in the store. Regularly assist with spot inventories, year-end inventory, and reconciliation to help solve possible discrepancies. Monitor controllable expenses such as use of bags and supplies to help reduce waste; as well as accurately charging shipping costs to reduce expense.
Social Media Outreach and Technology:
Participate with social media outreach for the store and provide content to the corporate marketing department to help encourage traffic to the store. Embrace the use of multiple forms of technology including regular use of our client management platform to communicate with clients, obtain customer reviews, and accept payments. Understand and properly execute all systems and procedures to ensure quick and efficient transactions including capturing customer data.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience in the luxury jewelry and watch market is not required, but strongly preferred. Knowledge of luxury watches is strongly preferred. Neat and professional attire required. Proven track record in achieving sales results. Ability to prospect and develop strong customer relationships. Proficiency with Point of Sales (POS) systems and Microsoft Outlook/email.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Strong customer service orientation. Strong team player able to work well with coworkers in store and corporate staff. Treats others with respect, integrity, and courtesy. Excellent communication skills including verbal and for written correspondence with customers via text or e-mail.
PHYICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative to those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role requires regular standing, talking, hearing and manual dexterity, frequent walking and reaching with occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and lifting up to 10 lbs. Standard vision abilities, including color and depth perception are required alongside the use of a jewelers loop or magnification equipment.
