Paint Sales Associate

Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. Currently hiring for part time or full time position. In this role you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will engage with customers, assist them in finding products, and contribute to the overall success of the store through effective sales techniques. We are open M-Fridays 7-5:30 and Saturdays 8-4:30. Starting pay strongly based on prior experience and knowledge. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product inquiries. Utilize strong customer service skills to enhance the shopping experience. Demonstrate product features and benefits through engaging product demos. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions. Operate a credit card terminal Perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and returns. Upsell products by understanding customer needs and suggesting complementary items. Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing. Fronting shelves, dusting, sweeping, mopping. Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products and services. Mix and match paint orders for customers Place orders with our vendors Put away orders Requirements Previous experience in paint retail is required. Knowledge of house paint and paint products is required. Strong communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and customer interaction. Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math applications. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job. A passion for sales and helping customers find the right products to meet their needs. Ability to lift 50 plus pounds a must.(boxes of paint and 5 gallon paint buckets) Join us in creating an inviting shopping environment where customers feel valued and appreciated!
