While this position is based in Old Saybrook, there may be opportunities to work in our Branford, Clinton and Groton locations as needed. Whether someone is remodeling a kitchen, replacing a refrigerator, or furnishing a new home, you'll guide them through the buying process with honesty, knowledge, and care. No high-pressure sales tactics here—we believe in educating customers and helping them make the right decision. Responsibilities Welcome customers and create a friendly shopping experience Learn about customers' needs and recommend appropriate products Explain appliance features, benefits, and available options Prepare quotes and sales orders Follow up with customers when appropriate Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting showroom Work collaboratively with coworkers across all Hallock's locations Stay up to date on new products and manufacturer training Occasionally assist at our Branford, Clinton, Groton showrooms when needed Qualifications Positive attitude and strong work ethic Excellent communication and people skills Customer service or retail experience preferred (but we're willing to train the right person) Comfortable learning about appliances and home products Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills Reliable transportation to work in Clinton, with occasional travel to Branford or Old Saybrook if needed We're Looking For Someone Who...
