Traditions® Performance Firearms is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join their team!
Responsibilities:
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates and working with carriers if necessary. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Accurately and efficiently process orders/shipments through StarShip. Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Verify the requirements and compliance with individual vendors routing guides. Prepare documents such as bill of ladings and shipping orders to route material. Perform EDI for orders requiring EDI transmission. Process international shipment paperwork accurately and efficiently. Assist shipping supervisor in maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies. May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area. Help with investigation of shortages/overages, lost/damage claims. Follow all safety rules and maintain a clear work area. Regular attendance is required. May occasionally be required to work overtime. Reports to Shipping Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year+ shipping experience. Ability to lift 65 lbs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong organizational and communication skills, detail oriented. Ability to adapt and provide fast response to changes. Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team member.
