PRIMARY PURPOSE
Is responsible for working with other staff and volunteers to manage all aspects of day-to-day retail and donation operations of the Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County ReStore. This is a 40-hour per week full-time position - Tuesday thru Saturday.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as a team with staff and volunteers, following the lead and direction of senior staff Greet and assist customers on the sales floor Work to maintain an orderly and safe sales floor Answer customer questions and provide assistance when needed in bringing their purchases to the checkout area Assist customers in loading their purchases onto their vehicles while adhering to store loading and safety guidelines Manage time well, such as timely arrival for shift, reporting hours, taking appropriate breaks, and managing donation flow urgency Use tools and equipment, such as pallet jacks and dollies to move merchandise Follow safety requirements and promptly report or address unsafe conditions with other staff and volunteers Be able to communicate all ReStore and Habitat for Humanity policies and goals to the public Be prepared to adapt to various job duties throughout the day - duties will overlap with other positions Other duties as assigned, including taking a leadership role as needed Positive attitude and the ability to work with a diverse customer and donor base. 1-2 years' experience in retail, home improvement, or related industry Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation and have the ability to bend, reach and be on your feet for extended periods of time The ability to work independently in an organized fashion, in a fast-paced environment, and effectively manage multiple tasks Excellent organizational skills, paying close attention to detail Bilingual, Spanish speaking a plus Requirements Full-time 40 hours/week Workweek - Tuesday thru Friday 9:30am-5:30pm / Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Starting Hourly Rate:
$18.00
