THE PATH SHELTER STORE

is a thrift store that benefits programs of The Path Rescue Mission, a Christ-centered ministry providing long-term residential programming for men, women, and children without a home for any reason. The right individual will be in agreement with our Statement of Faith and our Christ-centered programs and services for a population struggling with brokenness, especially related to addiction/recovery, homelessness, and mental health issues. We are looking for a

PART-TIME THRIFT STORE

ASSOCIATE, to work 8 hours per week at our thrift store in Lecanto. There will be physical work involved. We seek a people focused person with a positive customer service attitude who works well with all clients (men & women in our program), employees, volunteers and customers.

• Friendly, approachable, out-going demeanor to assist thrift store staff and clients.
• Team player who takes the initiative to assist others and help us maximize customer satisfaction and sales of items donated by our community.

Duties and responsibilities General duties include: Sorting and organizing incoming donations with care and accuracy. Inspect items for quality, damage and resale potential. Assist in determining that pricing of items is accurate. Assist in categorizing merchandise (clothing, books, household goods etc.). Maintain cleanliness and order in sorting and donation areas. Support the team with other backroom duties as needed. Work as a team to meet the store's goals. Report Issues with equipment or items. Be friendly, professional, and courteous when working with all customers, volunteers, men and women in The Path's program, and employees. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Enforce security, uphold all policies of The Path, and represent The Path at all times.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Must have at least a high school diploma/GED
• 1-2 years of retail or thrift store experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and readily adjusts schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs.

The Path is a privately-funded 501 (c)3 non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry. Our designated purpose is religious and we are a Christ-centered ministry that is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and helping the homeless, addicted, and impoverished.
