We are seeking a dedicated Optical Associate to join our growing team. No optician license is required—just a passion for helping people and a keen interest in the optical industry!
Job Overview :
As an Optical Associate, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, helping patients with eyewear selection, and ensuring they have the best possible experience while visiting our practice. This position provides an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the optical world while working in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist patients with selecting eyeglasses and frames based on their style preferences and vision needs. Accurately take measurements, such as pupillary distance, optical center height, and segment height for eyeglass prescriptions. Provide patients with knowledge about different lens options, coatings, and other optical products. Maintain inventory of eyeglasses, frames, and accessories, ensuring stock levels are sufficient. Help patients adjust and fit their eyewear, ensuring proper comfort and fit. Process eyewear orders, including prescription lenses, and coordinate with the lab for lens fabrication. Understand and explain patient's insurance benefits, as well as filing claims. Follow up with patients regarding their eyewear orders and ensure timely delivery. Answer patient inquiries, book appointments, and schedule follow-up visits as necessary. Ensure the optical display area is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, billing, and insurance verification when needed.
Qualifications :
No optician license required. 3+ previous years experience in eyewear, optical sales, or health-related fields required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn about optical products, eyewear trends, and vision correction technology. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Friendly, positive attitude and a passion for helping people. Why Join Us?
