Overview We are seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier/Sales Associate to join our gas station with a convenience store. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service while efficiently handling sales transactions. Your responsibilities will include operating the cash register, managing cash drawers, stocking shelves, and assisting customers with their purchases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. Duties Operate the cash register accurately during retail sales transactions, ensuring correct pricing and payment processing Handle cash drawer management with integrity and attention to detail Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries and purchases Maintain knowledge of store products to effectively answer customer questions and promote items Perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store remains tidy and inviting Assist in inventory management by stocking supplies and monitoring stock levels Use basic math skills to calculate totals, give correct change, and process refunds or exchanges Ensure a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff by adhering to safety protocols Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashier roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude Basic math proficiency for handling transactions accurately Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions responsibly Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
