Need to be available for any shift. 4:45am-1:00pm or 12:45pm-9:00pm. Some mid-day shifts are available. Weekend shifts are a must! SUMMARY The Sales Associate plays a key role in ensuring our customers have a positive experience while shopping for convenience store items and fishing tackle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Greets and assists customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering product recommendations and answering questions about our range of convenience store items, fishing tackle, and outdoor gear. Maintains a strong knowledge of the store's product offerings, including fishing bait, tackle, gear, snacks, beverages, and other convenience items to provide accurate information to customers. Stocks shelves with products, ensuring proper rotation of stock and keeping products organized and well-displayed. Assists in managing inventory and alert management to low stock or out-of-stock items. Operates the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer purchases, handle cash and card transactions, and ensures accurate cash management. Helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including sweeping floors, cleaning displays, and ensuring that the store is presentable at all times. Handles customer inquiries, resolves issues or complaints in a calm and efficient manner, and ensures every customer leaves satisfied with their shopping experience. Work alongside other team members to ensure smooth operations and an efficient workflow, contributing to a positive team environment. Other duties as assigned.

Ability to operate a cash register and handle money accurately. Must be able to lift and move merchandise (up to 25 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and cleaning. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required. Basic knowledge of fishing tackle and outdoor gear is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to traverse the sales floor. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
