We are very active on social media, with among the highest engagement across any game store in Florida! We have successfully launched our new website GamersGoRetro.com - and things are picking up rapidly! We are looking for someone enthusiastic who is hungry to learn, grow, and has a strong knowledge of retro gaming and modern gaming!

Who We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate MUST possess: 2-3 years of experience in a video game store. Retail management experience is a plus. A positive and energetic attitude. MUST have a robust knowledge of modern gaming and retro gaming. Previous POS/Cash Handling experience. MUST know how to operate most retro and modern gaming platforms. Previous trade-in experience. Experience buying inventory for a retail business. Pride in accurate and efficient work. Great social skills and ability to build positive interactions and relationships with customers! Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the perfect games, consoles, accessories, and merchandise. Buying inventory through cash or store credit trade. Conduct console demos to showcase gaming consoles, enhancing the shopping experience. Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions efficiently while handling cash and card payments with professionalism. Thoroughly operate and test retro and modern gaming consoles to ensure all products are in working condition. Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to maximize sales potential. Upsell related products and accessories by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options. Manage inventory levels by stock replenishment and organizing back stock to ensure product availability. Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication. Reliably cover store operations as needed by management. Pull, pack, and fulfill orders ASAP, and pack orders to be dropped off at couriers. Conduct game and console trades in accordance with management protocol and ensuring items being purchased from seller are in good condition and working order. Responding to trade requests, website email inbox, and Meta suite messages in a timely and professional manner. Take on new and innovative projects as needed. Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in a game store or similar environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and effectively. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs better. Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for accurate transactions. Knowledge of retro and modern gaming products, merchandising techniques, and stock management is necessary . Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting. Understanding of website demands, such as accurate inventory management processes.
