Duties Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service to enhance their shopping experience Assist customers in selecting confections and related products, offering expert recommendations and upselling when appropriate Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, encouraging customer engagement and sales Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling and accurately operating register. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the confection section is clean, attractive, and well-merchandised Manage inventory levels by stocking products regularly and notifying management of low stock or replenishment needs Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support store merchandising efforts to highlight seasonal or promotional items effectively assisting to prepare store made products like waffle cones, dipped apples, fudge, chocolate dipped marsh mellows etc. Training and in-depth knowledge will be provided on job. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or specialty food shops Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and cash drawer handling Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse customers confidently Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base effectively Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not required Ability to perform basic math for transactions, retail math calculations, and inventory management Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service standards Prior experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and cashiering processes preferred Willingness to work evenings , weekends and late nights as this is a holiday and family client based business and we need associates more when we have more customers which is late evenings and weekends and holiday's..
