Job Description
Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the part-time position of Lab Specialist on the Cocoa Campus in Cocoa, Florida. This position will cover Cocoa and Titusville Campuses. Salary & Benefit The hourly rate is $15.00 . This position has been approved for up to 28 hours per week. This position is eligible for regular part-time benefits (i.e. vacation, life insurance, etc.). Position Concept Support the operations necessary for the program labs to function effectively and efficiently. Perform clerical work for lab inventory and maintenance and office management functions supporting shop development, procedures related to processes for equipment, material supplies, service orders and safety. Assist instructional staff with maintaining lab equipment, tool rooms, and training aids. Minimum Qualifications The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered: High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge of industry standards and practices required. Familiarity with shop procedures & safety awareness required. Good communication, writing and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license required. A review of Social Media activity will be part of the candidate evaluation process. This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay (currently $36.00). This fingerprinting fee ($36.00) is non-refundable.
