Shoe Store Lead Position Summary The Shoe Store Lead at Madison's on Main is responsible for the daily operational success of the Clayton Shoe Store, ensuring both the customer and employee experience reflect the company's values of southern hospitality, community, and style. This role combines leadership, organization, and operational execution to support store performance and maintain consistency across all day-to-day functions. The Shoe Store Lead is accountable for maintaining store standards, supporting sales performance, and ensuring the highest level of organization, cleanliness, and product readiness. This role focuses heavily on operational excellence, including shipping, receiving, inventory flow, and back-of-house management, while also supporting the front-of-house experience when needed. As a key holder and operational leader, the Shoe Store Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the store runs smoothly each day. This includes opening procedures, maintaining an organized workspace, and acting as a liaison between the warehouse and Clayton store locations. By supporting both the team and store operations, this role contributes directly to the overall success and consistency of the Madison's on Main experience. Requirements (Applies to All Positions)

Attendance & Reliability:

Must uphold reliability and consistency in scheduled shifts. Frequent schedule changes or unapproved absences will not be permitted.

Mission & Vision Alignment:

Review Madison's on Main's Mission and Vision statements weekly to ensure personal performance and decision-making align with the company's values.

Ongoing Training & Development:

Required to maintain brand awareness and Madison's scheduled training.

Time-Off Requests:

All requests for time off must be submitted in advance and approved by leadership. Approval is not guaranteed and will depend on store needs. Key Responsibilities Serve as a Key Holder, including opening the store and ensuring readiness for daily operations (arrival by 8:00 AM as scheduled) Oversee daily operational flow of the Shoe Store to ensure efficiency and organization Manage all shipping and receiving processes for Clayton locations with accuracy and consistency Ensure timely processing and placement of incoming inventory Handle outgoing shipments, transfers, and order fulfillment Maintain a clean, organized, and fully functional back-of-house environment Steam merchandise to ensure all product is floor-ready and meets presentation standards Support visual merchandising by maintaining proper product flow and organization Act as the primary liaison between the warehouse and Clayton store locations Provide operational and on-call warehouse support as needed, coordinated through leadership Support store performance through strong execution of operational responsibilities Assist in maintaining overall store standards, including cleanliness, organization, and readiness

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
