About the Position Takle Eye Group is seeking a motivated, personable, and customer-focused Optical Sales Associate to join our team. This position will work between our Griffin and Locust Grove locations and will play an important role in providing patients with an exceptional optical experience. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has a strong interest in eyewear and fashion, and is comfortable helping patients select frames and lenses that meet both their vision needs and personal preferences. Responsibilities Assist patients with selecting frames, lenses, sunglasses, and other optical products Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service throughout the optical sales process Take accurate measurements, including pupillary distance and other necessary optical measurements Assist with frame fitting, adjustments, and repairs Educate patients on lens options, coatings, materials, and available upgrades Explain pricing, insurance benefits, and patient out-of-pocket responsibilities Process optical orders accurately and efficiently Assist with contact lens orders and patient needs as appropriate Maintain organized and attractive frame displays and optical inventory Receive, check in, and organize optical orders and lab work Communicate with optical laboratories and vendors as needed Assist with insurance claims and optical billing processes Collect and document patient payments accurately Follow established optical department procedures and workflows Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming optical environment Work closely with physicians, technicians, front desk staff, and other members of the practice Provide excellent service to patients of all ages, including elderly and difficult-to-fit patients Travel between the Griffin and Locust Grove offices as scheduled Qualifications Previous optical experience preferred Experience with frame fitting and optical measurements preferred Knowledge of vision insurance plans and benefits preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable discussing and recommending eyewear and lens options Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to learn and use optical and practice management software Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team Professional, dependable, and positive attitude Must be comfortable working at both the Griffin and Locust Grove locations Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Optical sales Frame fitting and adjustments Vision insurance Contact lenses Optical laboratory ordering Optical Management/NextGen VisionWeb Patient collections Optical inventory management What We Offer Full-time employment Competitive pay based on experience Benefits available to eligible full-time employees Opportunity to work in a growing ophthalmology practice Supportive team environment Opportunity for continued training and professional development Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM The position will be scheduled between our Griffin and Locust Grove offices, based on theneeds of the practice.

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
