Job Overview Join our vibrant retail team as a Retail Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive memorable shopping experiences. In this role, you will be the friendly face guiding customers through our diverse product offerings, providing expert advice on gardening, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance. Your energy and organizational skills will help maintain a well-stocked, attractive store environment while ensuring each customer leaves satisfied and inspired. Whether assisting with plant identification or managing sales transactions, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and fosters community connections. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering knowledgeable advice on plants, gardening tools, outdoor equipment, and landscape maintenance products Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and sales transactions Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure product availability and visual appeal Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and product replenishment Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone or in person about product features, plant care tips, or store policies Identify plants and gardening supplies to help customers select appropriate products for their outdoor projects Assist with floral design or seasonal displays to enhance store presentation and attract customers Skills Strong knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, and gardening techniques Experience with retail sales processes, including cashiering and retail math calculations Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Outdoor work experience and familiarity with plant identification are highly valued Ability to organize tasks efficiently while managing multiple customer interactions simultaneously Knowledge of floral design, merchandising strategies, and stock management techniques Customer service-oriented attitude with proactive problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible hours in an outdoor environment while maintaining safety standards Join us to inspire outdoor creativity while developing your retail expertise!
