Overview Join our team! We are a furniture and flooring company that has been located on main street in Dyersville for over 90 years! We are looking for a sale associate to add to our team. We are looking for someone that is excited to be a part of someones experience of choosing new furniture and/or flooring for their home or business. In this role, you will engage with customers as they enter into our store. Your role will be to showcase our products and guide them towards home decor, furniture pieces and/or flooring that matches their style,needs and budget. Responsibilities Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional etiquette, providing accurate information and support. Greet and guide customers through our three floors of inventory to assist them in finding the right furniture, home decor and flooring options. Explain product features such as fabric durability/grades, warranties, flooring types, maintenance, and installation needs. Develop and maintain strong product knowledge of furniture collections, flooring types, brands and current trends. Provide design advice and help coordinate colors, room layouts and materials. Write up sales quotes, process orders, schedule appointments for measurements and deliveries. Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional etiquette, providing accurate information and support. Assist with maintaining showroom appearance by creating and organizing displays, merchandising products and ensuring cleanliness. Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with customers. Customer service skills to handle inquiries in a professional manor. Math skills for daily operations such measurements, pricing and handling of money during sales. Ability to work every other Saturday-8:30 until 1pm Ability to lift,move or assist with 25-50 pounds when necessary. Previous retail sales experience preferred; furniture,flooring,or interior design experience is a plus.

Pay:

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.5 - 43.0 per week
