Position Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking, motivated Receiving Associate I to join our team. You will play an essential role in ensuring the efficient operation of the receiving area and maintaining a welcoming, safe, and organized space for staff, volunteers, and customers. You'll be responsible for unloading donations, organizing inventory, assisting donors, and supporting general warehouse operations.
Receiving Associate I Responsibilities:
Assist donors with donations. Enter donation data into Salesforce. Price donations and items to be sold on sales floor. Sort and properly recycle items that won't sell. Keep work areas clean and organized. Answer customer questions. Evaluate acceptability of donations. Works with volunteers as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or similar environment is a plus. Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 80 lbs.) repeatedly and safely. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, helpful attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. A commitment to Habitat for Humanity's mission, values and environmental stewardship. Willingness to work with volunteers, diverse staff and customer base. Home Appliances/Repair, a plus!
