Job Description
Job Summary We're looking for a friendly, personable, and sales-minded Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our smoke shop. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, creates a welcoming experience for every customer, and knows how to turn a great conversation into a great sale. Customer service is at the heart of this role. From greeting customers when they walk in to helping them find what they're looking for and ending each interaction on a positive note, we're looking for someone who brings good energy and makes customers want to come back. Previous smoke shop or retail experience is a plus, but strong customer service and sales skills are most important. Product knowledge can be learned on the job. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming, positive in-store experience Engage customers in conversation to understand their needs and make personalized product recommendations Drive sales by confidently educating customers and recommending products Learn and maintain knowledge of the products we carry Process transactions accurately using the POS system Promote and enroll customers in the store's loyalty program Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor Stock and organize merchandise as needed Assist with receiving and maintaining inventory Open and close the store as scheduled Follow cash-handling procedures and assist with cash reconciliation/deposits Work independently when needed and collaborate with other team members during busier periods Create positive customer interactions that leave customers with a great impression of the store What We're Looking For Strong customer service skills and a genuinely friendly, personable approach Comfortable talking with customers and asking questions to understand what they're looking for Positive attitude and good energy Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to confidently recommend products Reliable and dependable Comfortable handling cash and operating a POS system Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and ability to keep the store organized Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred Product knowledge is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person Schedule Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week Store hours:
