As part of the "Helpful Hardware Place," we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier customer service and expert project advice to our local community. We are building our founding team from the ground up and looking for dependable, friendly, and motivated individuals to join us. Positions Available We are hiring for team members at all levels across multiple departments:
Store Leadership & Keyholders:
Assist with daily operations, open/close procedures, and team leadership.
Department Specialists:
Provide expert advice in Paint, Plumbing, Electrical, Lawn & Garden, or Tools.
Sales Associates:
Greet customers, guide shoppers to solutions, and keep the sales floor stocked and organized. Cashiers /
Customer Care:
Deliver fast, friendly checkout service and assist with customer signups and order pickups.
Receiving & Stocking Crew:
Handle freight unloading, inventory tagging, shelf replenishment, and store setup.
Training & Onboarding Location:
Paid, hands-on training will take place at our nearby sister store in Norridge, IL prior to the Elmwood Park store opening.
Transition:
Upon completion of training and floor prep, all positions will permanently transition to the new Elmwood Park location. Qualifications High energy, positive attitude, and a strong commitment to customer service. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends based on store needs. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a dynamic team. Prior retail, hardware, trade, or customer service experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right individuals! Demonstrates proficiency with computer systems. Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and inventory management applications (or the ability to learn them quickly) preferred.
