Job Description
Furniture Retail Sales Associate Bargain Barn Furniture Full-Time Role Objective We are looking for a high quality, high energy, high potential candidate ready to be part of a growing team. As a Furniture Retail Sales Associate, you will serve as a friendly, professional face of our organization, ensuring each customer is valued and every interaction is handled promptly and courteously. This is a high-end role and requires a high-end personality and work ethic. This is not your typical sales associate role, such as a cashier, rather a role in which detailed product knowledge, building customer relationships, and being personable are required to best serve our customers. Role Responsibilities a) Greet and assist customers with a warm and friendly demeanor. b) Study product materials to best answer any questions customers may have. c) Make suggestions and help customers find the right item for them. d) Build relationships with our customers to encourage returning sales. e) Perform clerical duties such as sales orders and data entry. f) Continuing education on our products and services as they change and grow. g) Answer phone calls, questions, and resolve issues promptly. h) Provide customer assistance by addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. i) Maintain cleanliness in our showroom such as dusting and vacuuming. j) Foster and maintain a positive, team-oriented, and friendly retail environment. k) Participate in meetings and trainings. l) Perform other assigned duties. Qualification Requirements a) Previous furniture, appliance, or similar sales experience is preferred but not required b) Excellent organization, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills c) Ability to confidently present in front of an individual or a group d) High level of cognitive and problem-solving skills e) Ability to manage multiple tasks f) Willingness to learn and adapt g) Must maintain concentration with customers with the ability to assist multiple customers at the same time. h) Ability to stand and maintain attention and communication with others for extended periods of time. i) Ability to work assigned store/shift hours j) Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds k) Dependable and honest l) Must be able to work retail hours, which include Saturdays (closed Sundays and Tuesdays) m) Must be willing to submit to a drug test Benefits a) Opportunities for professional development and growth b) Paid time off c) Retirement plan with employer match d) Employee discount e)
