Job Description
Summary of Position:
The Store Retail Associate is responsible for restocking items within the liquor store, keeping the store organized and clean, and running the cash register. They are part of a team environment geared toward exceeding customer expectations within the store.Essential Functions:
- Follow proper cash handling procedures and giving correct change
- Receive and stock all incoming deliveries to the liquor store
- Responsible for keeping the store clean and organized. Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedule. Pick up trash, sweep, dust, and mop regularly.
- Always provide the highest quality of service to the guest while anticipating and exceeding customer expectations.
- Encourage customers to join the Loyalty Program
- Answer questions about products and upsell customers
- Answer the telephone answering all questions from the customer
- Must communicate properly and effectively with the customer, associates, and managers.
- Attend work on time as scheduled
- Practice safety standards and keep the property safe for guests and fellow associates.
- Report unsafe conditions and suspicious activity to Store Manager or proper chain of command
- Lift, carry, or otherwise move 25lbs regularly or 40lbs occasionally
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear
- Must follow uniform guidelines
- Follow proper key control procedures
- Able to work independently and by themselves on a shift
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company.
- Must stock coolers and shelves daily/nightly before end of shift per store requirements Other duties as assigned
