Job Description
Overview (Looking for an experienced barista, wanting additional weekly hours) Join our vibrant team as a Barista / Store Clerk and become the heart of our historic environment! In this role, you'll craft delicious coffee and tea specialty beverages, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure the store runs smoothly. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued and eager to return. Whether you're preparing specialty drinks or managing retail transactions, your enthusiasm and attention to detail will make a real difference every day. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards Operate Square POS system to process sales accurately and efficiently Handle retail sales transactions with cash handling skills, ensuring proper math calculations and receipt issuance Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, addressing inquiries, and providing beverage recommendations Maintain cleanliness of the store environment, including food handling areas, counters, equipment, and seating areas Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Qualifications Previous barista experience is required Familiarity with Square POS system for processing transactions Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Self motivated and excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours and maintain store cleanliness during peak hours Join us and be part of a small team dedicated to creating memorable experiences through exceptional beverage and food service and friendly interactions!
