Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales professional to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide exceptional customer service will be key in driving sales and promoting our products. Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and addressing any concerns. Assist in merchandising products effectively to enhance visibility and encourage sales. Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-organized and fully stocked. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in cash handling procedures. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred. Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a retail setting. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is beneficial. Knowledge of grocery store operations is an advantage, providing insight into product offerings and customer needs.
