Furniture Mart in Houma, LA is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team! Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers on the sales floor, providing a welcoming and positive shopping experience Help customers select furniture and home furnishings that meet their needs, style, and budget Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems Maintain showroom appearance by keeping displays clean, organized, and visually appealing Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management and receiving Assemble furniture for display Unload and recieve shipments Load customer purchases Answer customer questions about product features, availability, and delivery options

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Previous retail sales, stockroom or customer service experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Basic math skills and comfort with POS or cash register systems Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
