Budtender (Shift Lead)

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Budtender (Shift Lead) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a frontline ambassador, providing exceptional customer service while overseeing daily store operations. As a Shift Lead, you will combine your passion for the industry with leadership skills to ensure a smooth, compliant, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help foster a positive shopping experience, promote product knowledge, and support team development. Duties Lead daily store operations during your shift, ensuring all activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations. Assist customers with product selection, answering questions about strains, consumption methods, and dosage to enhance their experience. Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maintain an organized and appealing store layout. Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and cashiering duties accurately while maintaining accountability for cash flow. Train and mentor new team members on customer service standards, product knowledge, POS systems, and store procedures. Conduct employee orientation sessions and participate in interviewing potential candidates to build a strong team. Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance documentation throughout the store environment. Skills Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or assistant manager experience in retail or similar environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse customers fluently; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus. Proficiency in retail math, sales management, inventory management, and POS systems (i.e. Dutchie or Treez) Demonstrated expertise in customer service excellence and conflict resolution through negotiation and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of retail management practices including merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and stock control. Administrative tasks related to retail operations. Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced setting; organizational skills are essential.
