Work Environment Our services are Arborist-focused and we encourage our team members to continuously add to their own knowledge and industry credentials (training materials provided). You'll utilize state-of-the-art equipment such as mini skid steers, stump grinders, chippers, modern rigging gear, aerial lifts, and occasionally a commercial crane for complex jobs. Our crew works at some pretty spectacular job sites (and yes, some pretty basic ones too) and we're always finding creative ways to safely execute tree removals and pruning services.

Ideal Candidates We'd love to meet you if you have any experience as a grounds person, plant health care tech, climber, arborist, OR you're interested in an entry-level tree climber/arborist trainee role. No experience required, although prior outdoor work experience is a plus!

For entry-level candidates:

This is a great entry-level opportunity to begin your career in arboriculture through on-the-job training and hands-on practice (including skills related to tree climbing, pruning, rigging, cabling and bracing, felling, tree identification, equipment operation, plant health care applications etc.). This position is designed to be transitional and will naturally lead to climbing and/or plant health care as qualified with time and training—you'll get to choose your own training pathway and your role on the team can be customized to your personal and professional interests! In addition to expanding your skill set, you'll also benefit from adding TCIA and/or ISA credentials to your toolbelt. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, prefers to work outdoors, and is excited to learn various aspects of the trade.

Responsibilities include:

Loading / unloading tools, setting up job sites Assisting crew with ropes, chipper, brush, raking, job site clean-up, etc. Learning how to operate and maintain stump grinder Helping to prepare and plant new trees and shrubs Properly maintaining, preparing, and operating company tools, equipment, and vehicles (e.g., chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, aerial lifts etc.) Assisting with general shop maintenance, cleaning, and daily prep activities Learning, understanding, and following all company safety rules and policies Training for tree climbing and/or plant health care applications (various training pathways available to choose from) For experienced candidates: Pay will be adjusted to your level of experience and credentials! The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes pride in successful results, works to excel at daily projects, and is driven to continue learning and training towards next steps in their career pathway via ongoing education, industry credentials, and new skills training.

Responsibilities include:

Accessing canopies using throw line and ascending ropes Executing proper pruning cuts for removal of deadwood, broken limbs, and structural pruning Rigging trees for removal Installing/maintaining cable, bracing, and propping systems Preparing and planting new trees and shrubs Properly maintaining, preparing, and operating company tools, equipment, and vehicles (e.g., chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, aerial lifts etc.) Performing all tree care services both safely and efficiently Professionally communicating, answering questions, and strengthening relationships with clients Staying current on personal training pathways and dedicating time to ongoing professional success Requirements (for all candidates): Successfully complete a criminal background and motor vehicle check Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record Live on (or near) the Cape with dependable transportation—must be punctual (can reliably commute to our shop in Harwich or plan to relocate before starting) Comfortable working outdoors, year-round, in all weather conditions Be physically capable of performing manual labor and have strong physical stamina Be safety-focused and maintain proper Personal Protective Equipment (training will be provided) Maintain open and honest communication Entry-level candidates : Any prior experience in tree care, landscaping, lawn care, forestry, or horticulture is a plus, but not required Experienced candidates : Preferably two years experience in pruning and removals If you're ready to join a dedicated team that values quality service and customer satisfaction, we welcome you to apply today!
