Overview About Mount Pleasant Golf Club Mount Pleasant Golf Club is an active 9-hole private facility serving approximately 500 golfing members. The club offers a friendly, community-focused environment where golf operations play a central role in the day-to-day member experience. Leadership & Culture You will work alongside Head Golf Professional Joel Jenkins, PGA, a 28-year Class A Professional and the 2025 New England PGA Patriot Award Winner. Joel maintains an approachable, outgoing leadership style focused on supporting staff, managing smooth daily operations, and giving team members room to grow. He is actively involved in section leadership—currently nominated for NEPGA Massachusetts Chapter Vice President—and leads local veteran programs, including
PGA HOPE
(Lowell) and Operation Departure. Position Overview Mount Pleasant Golf Club is seeking an organized, tech-proficient First Assistant Golf Professional to assist with daily tee sheet management, tournament setup, and member-facing programs. This role offers solid operational responsibility, routine teaching opportunities, and practical mentorship under an experienced Head Professional. Experience Required
PGA / LPGA
Member or active PGA Associate in good standing. Working proficiency in Jonas POS, Golf Genius, ForeTees, and Excel. Friendly, service-oriented mindset with good communication skills. Experience organizing and guiding seasonal outside staff. Interest in junior golf and supportive golf programming.
Essential Responsibilities Operational & Systems Management:
Assist with daily point-of-sale operations, tee sheet management, and tournament software using Jonas POS, Golf Genius, ForeTees, and Microsoft Excel.
Tournament Execution:
Support the setup, administration, and scoring for member events and leagues.
Outside Operations:
Oversee daily bag room flow, golf car fleet maintenance, and seasonal staff scheduling and supervision.
Member Engagement:
Maintain a visible, helpful presence around the shop and first tee, engaging with members and playing golf when operations permit.
Player Development:
Help lead PGA Jr. League teams and junior clinics, while building an individual lesson practice with interested members. Benefits
