In person Overview Radiance Eye Care is seeking a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Optical Sales Associate to join our private optometry practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a strong sense of style and customer service, and is interested in helping patients find eyewear that fits their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal preferences. A licensed optician is not required. Previous optical, optometry, eyewear, or retail sales experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Assist patients with selecting eyeglass frames based on fit, style, prescription, and lifestyle needs Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear products Provide a personalized and welcoming optical experience Assist with optical measurements, eyeglass adjustments, repairs, and dispensing based on experience and training Place and track frame and lens orders Communicate with optical laboratories and vendors regarding orders, remakes, and warranties Review vision insurance benefits and assist with processing vision plan orders and claims Process optical purchases and patient payments Maintain frame inventory and help keep displays organized and visually appealing Assist with contact lens ordering and inventory as needed Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist patients with general questions when needed Maintain accurate patient information in the EHR Work collaboratively with the doctor and other team members to provide an excellent patient experience Assist with other office responsibilities as needed Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Comfortable with sales and helping patients select eyewear Previous optical, optometry, or retail sales experience preferred Optical and vision insurance experience is a plus Comfortable learning new skills and computer systems Optician license is not required Benefits Paid time off Employee discount On-the-job training Supportive private-practice environment Opportunity to develop optical skills and grow with the practice
