Sales Associate Sinistry LLC Salem, MA Job Details Temporary | Part-time From $17 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Retail sales transactions Store closing procedures Store opening procedures Shelf stocking Cash register operations Full Job Description We're looking for reliable people to join our team and help us keep things running smoothly during the fall season. We're an independent shop built for people who love all things spooky. If you love talking to people and don't mind a little October chaos, you'll fit right in. What you'll actually be doing Real conversations, not scripted sales pitches. We want people to find things they actually love and keep coming back for. Running the register and keeping the lines moving Unpacking boxes, restocking shelves, and making sure the shop still looks good after 1000 people have touched everything. Assisting managers in opening/closing Jumping in wherever things are on fire. Who does well here You talk to strangers easily and don't need a script to do it. You notice when something's a mess before someone has to point it out. Intuition goes a long way in our shop. You don't fall apart when the shop suddenly has 20 people in it at once. You show up when you're supposed to. You love the weird & spooky stuff, or you at least get why other people do. No retail experience? That's fine. We'd rather hand this job to someone who fits the above description than someone with a perfect résumé who can't stand talking to people all day. The season If you haven't worked retail in Salem in October, there's really no way to explain it until you're in it. Lines out the door. Waves of crowds all day. It's a lot, but it's also genuinely fun when you're working next to people who have your back, and the owners are in direct communication & even working in the shop with you. Weekend availability and actually being on time aren't flexible. Parking and traffic in Salem in October are their own special nightmare, so plan ahead. We're a small team, if you don't show up, our team has to work twice as hard to make up for the lost person. The details August through November (with potential to extend into December). 1 Church Street, Salem, MA 01970 If this sounds like your scene, please apply!!
