Duties Lead and supervise store staff during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service. Manage inventory control, including stocking, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory management to optimize product availability and minimize waste. Oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering activities, POS (Point of Sale) system operations, and payroll processing with accuracy and integrity. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and providing ongoing training & development to foster a motivated team. Implement sales strategies through pricing adjustments, promotional displays, and merchandising initiatives to meet sales targets. Maintain operational standards by monitoring store cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with company policies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly using effective communication skills and conflict resolution techniques. Skills Strong management skills with experience supervising retail teams in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills including managerial communication, phone etiquette, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, and basic math for retail math calculations. Demonstrated leadership in retail sales management, team training & development, and operational oversight. Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and budgeting to maximize profitability. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Experience with recruiting processes such as interviewing candidates and employee orientation programs. Knowledge of grocery store operations or convenience retail industry best practices is highly desirable.
