Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand their flooring needs, offering tailored solutions that enhance their renovation or remodeling projects in both residential and commercial buildings. Demonstrate product features through product demos and explain technical details related to flooring materials, installation techniques, and convenient scheduling. Upsell complementary products such as window treatments to maximize sales opportunities. Develop strong account management relationships by following up with clients, managing project details, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote high-end flooring solutions and participate in merchandising efforts to showcase products effectively. National carpet does have a retail location; this position does assist in showroom coverage during open hours which supports an occassional Saturday (on a rotation). Requirements Willingness to learn, pleasant demeanor, and work ethic will allow even an inexperienced candidate an opportunity to succeed on our team. Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales, preferably within the construction, renovation, or interior design sectors is highly recommended, but not required. Strong communication skills in English and computer proficiency. Ability to negotiate effectively with clients while maintaining a professional demeanor. Understanding of remodeling processes, maintenance requirements, and high-end product specifications. Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize customer needs efficiently.
