Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Gallery Associate with a focus on retail sales, where your enthusiasm and customer service skills will help create memorable experiences for visitors and clients alike. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the welcoming face of our gallery, guiding guests through our collection, assisting with sales transactions, and ensuring the space remains inviting and well-organized. Your energy and proactive approach will drive sales, promote our products, and foster a positive environment that celebrates art and culture. Responsibilities Greet visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and answering questions about artworks and products Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to enhance their purchasing experience Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipt issuance Upsell related items or premium products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a genuine approach Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is visually appealing through effective merchandising techniques Conduct product demos to educate customers about artwork details, framing options, or related accessories Manage cash register operations, handle cash drawer balancing, and maintain accurate financial records Maintain knowledge of gallery products and current promotions to effectively assist customers and increase sales Support inventory management by stocking new items, tracking sales data, and assisting with stock counts Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or scheduling appointments Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in environments involving product demonstrations or customer engagement Supervising experience is a plus; ability to lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service Bilingual skills are highly desirable to connect with a diverse clientele Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions and cash handling Experience in merchandising or visual display setup to enhance product presentation Knowledge of gallery or art store products is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Grocery store experience or familiarity with retail store environments can be advantageous in understanding customer service standards Join us in creating an inspiring space where art meets exceptional service!
