Job Summary At Pet and Home Care, formerly The Green K9, our Store Associates are the trusted face of our store, warmly welcoming pet parents and providing knowledgeable, personalized service. This role combines exceptional customer care, expert product guidance, shared cleaning responsibilities, and supportive operational skills to ensure every pet parent and their furry firstborns receives a top-tier experience, from tip to tail.
Key Responsibilities:
Warmly greet pet parents, providing personalized recommendations for food, treats, toys, and wellness products. Actively promote grooming services by encouraging rebookings and assisting with groomers scheduling future appointments during checkout. Efficiently check-in clients for grooming and daycare Manage all systems (Etails, Time to Pet, Daysmart, Astro, etc.), accurately processing transactions and enrolling pet parents in our Astro Loyalty Program. Maintain attractive, organized, and fully stocked retail displays aligned with promotional and seasonal changes. Perform and assist with maintaining store cleanliness and presentation. Collaborate closely with grooming, daycare, and store leadership teams to ensure seamless, elevated service delivery. Communicate client feedback, product updates, and insights directly to the store manager
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior retail and/or customer service experience. Genuine enthusiasm for pets and exceptional interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn about pet care and pet nutrition Comfort and familiarity with technology, particularly POS systems and customer relationship tools. Professional, clear, and engaging communication skills. Dependable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. Flexibility to accommodate varied shifts, including weekends.
Compensation & Scheduling:
This position offers $16.00-$17.50 per hour, based on experience, with eligibility for annual performance-based increases. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, requiring availability for 6-8 hour shifts, including Saturdays.
