Army Barracks - Scarborough is a unique Army/Navy retail store open to the public, specializing in military surplus, airsoft guns and accessories, and tactical gear. We also carry a wide range of clothing and footwear for men, women, and children, as well as camping gear, backpacks, knives, swords, and other one-of-a-kind novelty items. We're passionate about creating a memorable, fun shopping experience that keeps customers coming back and spreading the word. We're looking for a high-energy, sales-motivated team player who brings a contagious energy to every shift. The right person creates excitement, encourages the team, connects easily with customers, and is always looking for opportunities to drive sales. Army Barracks isn't your average retail store. We carry military surplus, outdoor and tactical gear, airsoft, clothing, boots, backpacks, knives, swords, and unexpected finds you won't see everywhere else. You get the benefit of working at a place that sells fun things but also has amazing schedule! Unlike most retail, the store is open 10-6 everyday!

What You'll Do:

Welcome every customer with upbeat, engaging service. Create excitement around our products, promotions, and events. Ask questions, make recommendations, and confidently suggest additional products. Help motivate the team and maintain positive energy throughout the shift. Work toward sales goals and celebrate team wins. Ring up purchases, answer phones, and assist with daily store tasks. Keep the sales floor clean, organized, stocked, and ready to sell.

What We're Looking For:

Naturally enthusiastic, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations. Sales-driven and motivated by goals and results. A positive "cheerleader" who encourages others and helps build team momentum. Confident recommending products and closing sales without being pushy. Dependable, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed. Retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred. Comfortable handling and discussing airsoft, knives, and specialty merchandise. Must be 18 or older. Able to stand during shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and bend or crouch as needed.

Schedule:

Store hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. Typical shifts are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or noon-6 p.m. Availability on both Saturdays and Sundays is required. You will typically work one weekend day but must be available for either. Some holiday availability is required.
