Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately, including cash register operations and cash handling. Handle cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift. Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items or services to enhance their shopping experience. Conduct product demos when applicable, showcasing features and benefits to encourage sales. Stock shelves and merchandise displays, ensuring products are well-organized, properly priced, and visually appealing through effective merchandising. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries, providing clear and professional communication. Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and participating in inventory counts to support store operations. Support supervising staff during busy periods by helping oversee daily tasks and ensuring excellent customer service standards are met. Promote a positive shopping environment by engaging with customers actively, answering questions thoroughly, and providing exceptional customer service. Skills Proven experience operating POS systems and managing retail sales transactions efficiently. Strong cashiering skills with attention to detail in cash register operations and cash drawer handling. Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Experience in stocking, merchandising, and product demos within a retail or grocery store environment. Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction balancing. Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership in supporting team members during busy times. Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional customer interactions via phone or online channels. Ability to perform basic math accurately for retail transactions and inventory management tasks. Prior experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous for understanding store operations and customer needs.
