The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store & Donation Center Lead Store Sales Associate

JOB OBJECTIVE
Support Management in areas including product sales and acquisition, store maintenance and appearance, customer engagement and retention, and banking/recordkeeping procedures.BENEFITS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This job description highlights core responsibilities. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.- Efficiently operates the cash register and assists others with basic troubleshooting
- Opens and closes the store following prescribed procedures
- Supports management in banking and reporting tasks
- Applies correct cash handling protocols
- Makes bank deposits and daily runs
- Reports on product acquisition, production, and sales
- Executes strategies to meet acquisition, production, and sales goals
- Knows daily goals and tracks product turnover
- Places orders with the central warehouse as assigned
- Assists with store maintenance and merchandising
- Follows safety and maintenance protocols
- Ensures displays and layouts meet standards and are refreshed regularly
- Identifies opportunities to enhance store appeal
- Promotes an enjoyable shopping experience by providing outstanding customer service
- Addresses customer complaints effectively
- Keeps Management informed about all aspects of operations, including incidents or concerns during their absence
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong verbal communication with supervisors, coworkers, donors, and customers
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
