The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. Duties
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets
- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
- Keep reports of transactions
- Bag or wrap purchases
- Welcome customers and answer their questions
- Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Manage returns of merchandise Qualifications
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Proficient in basic math and retail math
- Experience in retail sales is a plus
- Ability to stock shelves and maintain inventory levels
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual proficiency is advantageous
- Experience supervising or leading a team is beneficial
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems
