Overview We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and dependable Lead Budtender to help oversee daily dispensary operations and support our budtender team. The ideal candidate will have strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead by example. This role will assist with training and supporting staff, maintaining compliance and company standards, handling customer concerns, and ensuring a positive and efficient experience for every customer. Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily store operations, including overseeing Budtenders' performance and providing ongoing coaching and training. Assist customers with product selection by offering detailed product demos, educating them on effects, strains, consumption methods, and proper usage. Manage POS (Point of Sale) transactions accurately, including cash register operations, retail sales transactions, and cash handling procedures. Ensure the store is well-stocked by coordinating stocking efforts, merchandising products attractively, and maintaining inventory levels. Uphold excellent phone etiquette when engaging with customers over the phone, answering inquiries professionally and efficiently. Promote upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring compliance with all legal regulations regarding product sales. Conduct regular product demos to educate customers about new or featured products, enhancing their shopping experience. Handle cash drawer balancing and retail math calculations with precision to maintain accurate financial records. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of store products, including cannabis strains, accessories, and related merchandise to assist customers effectively. Support team members in adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to cannabis sales and storage. Experience Proven supervising experience in a retail environment, Dispensory or similar fast-paced setting. Strong familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations; previous experience with retail sales transactions is essential. Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining high standards of customer service. Experience in stocking, merchandising, and managing inventory within a retail setting. Knowledge of retail math principles including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and performing basic calculations accurately. Prior experience in cannabis or related industries is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn about cannabis products is essential.
