Job Description
Bear Lakes Marathon, a division of Fick & Sons located in Kalkaska, Michigan, is looking for an energetic and friendly Cashier to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll help create a welcoming shopping experience by providing outstanding customer service, accurately handling transactions, and keeping the store clean, organized, and fully stocked. This position requires you to train at Charlie's Country Corner located at 5800 Nelson A Miles Pkwy, Grayling, MI 49738. Job Description The ideal candidate will deliver friendly and efficient customer service by accurately processing sales transactions, ensuring proper product pricing, and helping maintain store inventory, and cleanliness, along with performing the following responsibilities: Using the passport registers to check out customers. Monitors activity at gas pumps. Maintains store by stocking shelves, coolers, & freezers. Maintains cleanliness of the store and restrooms. Filling of Propane Tanks Balancing drawer with paperwork at the end of the shift. Competencies Competent in required jobs skills & knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills. Responds promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance. Exhibits good listening and comprehension; keeps others adequately informed. Offers assistance and support to co-workers, working cooperatively in group situations. Punctual & Dependable - Consistently to work on time. Observe safety and security procedures. Qualifications Customer Service Experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to pass a background test. Authorized to work in the United States. 18 years or older to safely ensure that sales of beer, spirits, tobacco products and lottery tickets comply with state and federal age requirements.
